Patrick Kirwin - Realistic Water
Two-Day Workshop

faux expo
Patrick Kirwin's photorealistic (yet extremely quick) trompe makes it possible to be profitable while maintaining a high level of quality in the work. Kirwin's confidence is evident in every brushstroke as he moves through a panel with no wasted effort. This hands-on workshop is designed to give that same confidence to the students as they complete canvases comprised of realistic water scenes incorporating water flowing, falling, frothing and calm. Color balance and depth will be key topics as well as composition and movement. All students will receive Kirwin's notes and rules for painting realistic water.

Class will start by 9am on Thurs - 9/29/2011 adjacent to the Exposition Hall. All paints and canvas as well as some brushes will be provided to the class, however, students are encouraged to bring standard art brushes to avoid sharing. Each student will complete panels approximately 2' x 3'. They will be on canvas and be rollable into any standard art sleeve for transporting home. All students need to be checked-in and ready for class by 8:30am. Class will adjourn by approximately 5pm to allow for the evening's festivities. Class tuition for this Two-day, hands-on workshop is $455/student. Expo registration must be completed prior to confirmation of registration for any classes.
